Founder, The Balanced Brain Neurofeedback Training Center

“Every client is a new challenge, and it is immensely gratifying to see symptoms recede—and lives change—often in just a few short months.”

I am the father of two daughters, one of whom profoundly changed the course of my career. When she was diagnosed on the autism spectrum, neurofeedback training helped her develop greater self-regulation and ultimately discontinue medications. The transformation was remarkable—not only academically, but in her confidence, adaptability, and trajectory in life. That experience became the catalyst for my professional path.

Motivated by both personal experience and clinical curiosity, I trained at the Othmer Institute under Sue Othmer and Siegfried Othmer, pioneers in the development of Infra-Low Frequency (ILF) neurofeedback. I later pursued advanced training in qEEG analysis and protocol development with David Kaiser, deepening my ability to individualize care based on brain-based data.

My clinical philosophy is grounded in the understanding that the brain does not operate in isolation. Effective neuroregulation requires attention to the whole system—brain, body, behavior, and environment. For this reason, my work integrates neurofeedback with guidance around nutrition, sleep, stress physiology, and meaningful lifestyle change. Technology alone is never the solution; it is a tool that works best when embedded within relationship, insight, and active participation.

As founder of The Balanced Brain, my primary responsibility is to advance and protect the integrative, holistic model we practice—one that prioritizes individualized care, ethical application of neurotechnology, and sustainable outcomes. Healing from mental health and performance challenges is rarely linear and never one-dimensional. The most durable results emerge when brain, body, and lived experience are addressed together.

We regularly collaborate with physicians, therapists, and allied healthcare professionals to build coordinated care teams tailored to each client. This collaborative, systems-based approach allows clients not only to feel better, but to function better—more regulated, more resilient, and more fully engaged in their lives.

Outside the clinic, I’m endlessly curious. I’m drawn to science fiction—both books and film—not for the spectacle, but for how it explores consciousness, ethics, and human potential. I enjoy working with my hands as much as my mind and have built much of the furniture in my home as a hobbyist woodworker.

I value simplicity and restoration: good food, quality sleep, and the occasional well-timed power nap. These aren’t indulgences—they’re part of how I stay regulated, attentive, and present in my work.

I do neurofeedback training as often as I can, especially deep state Synchrony and Alpha Theta training, as I pursue my own spiritual path.
